Snow! Snow! Snow!

February 12, 2010

We enjoyed a ridiculous amount of snow in Dallas. According to the news it was record breaking. Transformers blew, making crackling noises and lighting up the skies with a bright blue flash before the lights went out. We heard ours mid-afternoon before our power went out and got to see two more blow on the way to the movies. It’s pretty.

Trees fell everywhere in my neighborhood, breaking under the weight of the now. A pine tree is currently laying on top of the house and two cop cars pulled up to a house down the street. A neighbor might have died. I really don’t know what to make of that.

Some kids threw snowballs at each other and a few landed close to us. It took a few seconds to scoop up a snowball bigger than my head and their snowballs stopped coming our way.
